Ok, it just annoys me when people post comments on here as "anonymous." Especially when they're going to say "fuck Jewish" and they don't even speak English that well.
I can't draw any conclusions at this point, but our anonymous friend posted his/her eloquent comment at 02:06:28 AM; at 01:58:56 AM, a user from Beirut, Lebanon with the IP address of 195.112.223.162 logged into the JewniProj, and stayed for 8 minutes 32 seconds.
But that blogger's name is Mohamad Darwish and his email address is mohamad_darwish9@hotmail.com. He's located in Beirut, Lebanon.
Now, I must repeat that I can't say for certain that our "anonymous" friend is Mohamad Darwish... but I do think it's curious that this same "anonymous" user has logged into the JewniProj three consecutive times, each time coming from http://www.mohamaddarwish1.blogspot.com, but it may only mean that there is a link on that blog somewhere, or that this "anonymous" user just likes that blog and the JewniProj equally as well.
However, if we compare the sample sentence structure and spelling from Mohamad Darwish's profile to the "anomymous" comment, here's what we have:
"I am from Jarjouh South Lebanon. My E-mail mohamad_darwish9@hotmail.com" and his only interest is "swiming" [sic].
Compare that with: "Fuck u , fuck u . fuck jewish..."
Well, like I said, I can't draw any conclusions. But I'll let you know as things develop.
Well, that's cool that people are visiting from Lebanon. Wow, maybe CJP could get this "anonymous" user to come lecture in the Bookstore Plaza. That would be so cool.
It's part of an ongoing dialogue on the walls of a certain place on campus, which strangely enough often has Jewish themed artwork/writing.
For instance, there was a note on this same spot a couple weeks ago that read, "I never knew Jewish people smoked pot until I came to Stevenson."
It is vulgar, and I'm glad you could anonymously express your feelings on here.
I posted this because I think this is something that goes on a lot on campus that people aren't aware of. This particular wall is one of the most graffiti-marked walls at UCSC, and while the janitors try to paint it over almost every week, it gets filled with the exact same stuff as soon as the paint dries.
The janitor even posted a sign (heavy-duty metal glued to the wall) nearby that gave a phone number to report any "suspicious behavior" (i.e. graffiti behavior) and the sign was ripped off the wall within days.
If people are really offended by the pictures, however, talk to me personally and if there is a strong enough reaction, I'll be happy to take them off.
I'm assuming this is in the Stevenson bathroom then? Also, I'm curious as to what prompted that particular 'dialogue'; do you know? Knife fights remind me of West Side Story. I hope that bathroom has kicky 60's musical melodies for their...altercation.

The funny part is, the referring link was http://www.mohamaddarwish1.blogspot.com/, which is mostly in Arabic so I can't read it.
