"Emmuna News" @ "Lazer Beams"

Rabbi Lazer Brody's award-winning blog Lazer Beams has been featuring a series of posts called Emmuna News, in which world events, and in particular events pertaining to Israel and the Jewish people, are seen through the lens of Torah. During this time of crisis, Rabbi Brody has been updating his page multiple times a day, sometimes even hourly.

In addition to being an excellent summary of what is happening in Israel, Rabbi Brody brings a unique perspective to these events. He is an American who became an officer in the Israeli special-forces, and served in Beirut in the early 1980's. After his military career, Rabbi Brody became a Breslov Chassid, and is currently a rav in Ashdod and is the assistant to the Melitzer Rebbe, shlita.

I actually get Rabbi Brody's "Lazer Beams" beamed directly to me at my email. I get the emails at least once every day and I really like what he says.

If Hashem makes everything happen for a reason, then everything going on in the current conflict is happening for a reason as well, and Rabbi Brody explains everything in this sense.

I also should thank you Fedora Black for raising my awareness of Rabbi Brody's blog by putting a link to it up on the JewniProj a few months ago.

No need to thank me, but you are welcome just the same. I should add that Reb Lazer takes questions via email, and answers amazingly quickly, most of the time within a few hours, although he might be taking a bit longer during this time of crisis. Don't surprised if he gives you a short answer to a whole long problem! Think about what he says, and you see it contains a whole lot of info. I have gotten some great advice from him a number of times.
