i posted about this on http://community.livejournal.com/ucsc_chatter, i hope that's okay. i belatedly put a little jewniproj plug in! if anyone ever wants to send some kind of relevant ucsc-wide message, let me know. i believe the ucsc communities on livejournal are read by a few hundred people.
